A native Floridian who moved north from South Florida as a young child, Catherine has deep roots in the Gainesville and North Central Florida area. Her mother was a special education teacher who graduated from the University of Florida and her father was a US Air Force veteran who had a long and successful career in real estate as a broker, contractor, developer, and president of the Ocala Marion County Association of Realtors. Real estate sales and management, including new construction and development, have been influencing themes on both sides of Catherine’s extended family, so it was only natural that she would eventually follow a similar path.

Catherine grew up in Gainesville and was a graduate of Gainesville High School, where her extracurricular activities on the debate team taught her negotiation and discussion skills that were very useful in college and elsewhere during the course of her life. As a young adult, Catherine relocated for a few years to Asheville, NC, where she obtained her first real estate license and enjoyed selling property in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Upon returning to Gainesville, Catherine went back to school to achieve her broker license, which she has now had for more than 20 years. During the course of her real estate career, Catherine gained experience in residential resale and new construction, single family and multi-family property management, and commercial sales and leasing. Her past certifications and licensing have included specialties in new construction sales and community association management.

When Catherine is not working, she enjoys writing, time with family and friends, nature hikes with her dog, local community events, and exploring diverse cultures and cuisines. Recognizing and appreciating the beauty in life’s simple pleasures is a theme that has stayed with Catherine throughout her life. Her lifetime love of the outdoors eventually evolved into her current specialization of land and new construction custom home sales.
